Volunteering is about more than just an act of giving—it's about building stronger communities and creating opportunities for personal growth.
It’s an opportunity to develop new skills, gain fresh perspectives, and deepen connections with others. The true value of volunteering lies in the shared sense of purpose and the joy of contributing to something larger than oneself.
Our participants constantly dedicate their time and talents to making a difference. Whether it's lending a hand at events or supporting those in need, they demonstrate the incredible value of volunteering. In the images above you can see them cleaning books at a local library, creating bags for the Bakersfield Museum of Art, helping with our canned food drive, and more of our events.
Our volunteers are the heart of what we do, and we are constantly inspired by the passion and commitment they bring to our mission.
Over the years, Boyd has been a dedicated force in our weekly dance classes and bible study and his contributions have made a lasting impact.
He’s said volunteering at Grace “made me realize that I care a lot more about people than I used to….It’s made me a better person.”
Both Boyd and our participants are a reminder that every moment of service, no matter how big or small, holds immense value.
We’re grateful for all of our volunteers, and we’re always excited to welcome new faces who are eager to join us in making a difference. If you're interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities, we’d love to hear from you! Click here to learn more about how you can make an impact today.
Thank you for supporting our mission and for helping to foster a culture of giving and service.
